A customer with an antimicrobial surface approached us as they couldn’t demonstrate good antiviral performance with their usual testing provider. Their surface had proven excellent antibacterial activity, and the customer did not understand the lack of activity against virus. We were quickly able to identify the problem as a confounding background effect which did not allow a true evaluation of the surface performance. Following extra method development and using additional techniques we were able to largely remove this effect and demonstrate good antiviral performance of the surface. 

By taking the time to think about the test method and what the results really mean, we were able to add immense value to our customers product which they were very pleased with.
